Telco value-added services have always followed changes in how subscribers use their phones. Ringtones, games, music, video and content subscriptions each created new reasons for customers to spend beyond voice and data. AI now presents a similar opportunity, but with a different kind of value. Instead of being primarily entertainment, AI can become a practical everyday service used for writing, research, study, translation, brainstorming and problem-solving.

For operators, that matters because AI demand already exists. The opportunity is not to convince subscribers that AI is useful. It is to give them a simpler way to access it through a service connected to the operator they already use.

Myynd is built around that idea. It gives subscribers access to leading AI models through one platform, with payment handled directly through their mobile balance and the service ready to launch under the operator’s brand.

Why AI Fits the Value-Added Services Model

A strong VAS product gives subscribers a reason to interact with the operator beyond basic connectivity. AI fits that model because it can support many different everyday use cases instead of serving only one narrow purpose.

A student might use it to understand a difficult topic. A professional might use it to draft an email or summarize information. A small-business owner might use it for ideas, descriptions or customer communication. Another subscriber might use it for translation or general research.

The same service can therefore serve different customer segments without requiring the operator to build a completely different product for each one.

That makes AI particularly interesting as a value-added service: the value can increase as subscribers discover more ways to use it.

From Connectivity Provider to Digital Service Provider

Without a telco AI offering, the operator usually sits underneath the AI experience. The subscriber uses mobile data to reach an external platform, creates an account with that provider and pays the provider directly.

The operator enables the connection but does not own much of the service relationship.

Myynd gives operators another option. Subscribers can access multiple leading AI models through one telco-ready platform, while the service can sit under the operator’s own brand.

That shifts the role of the operator from simply providing connectivity to also providing the digital service being consumed over that connectivity.

For a VAS strategy, that distinction is important.

One AI Service Instead of Multiple Separate Apps

Another reason AI works well as a telco value-added service is that the current AI market is fragmented.

Different users prefer different models, and a subscriber may want more than one depending on the task. Managing separate applications, accounts and subscriptions can quickly become inconvenient.

Myynd is designed as an AI Chat Hub that brings leading AI models into one platform. hSenid

For the operator, this means the value proposition does not have to depend on one AI model. The platform is also designed so new models can continue to be added as the market changes.

That matters in a fast-moving category. A telco VAS should not become outdated every time a new AI model gains attention

AI Can Create Recurring VAS Revenue

Traditional VAS products have often worked because they create revenue beyond the base telecom package. AI can follow the same principle.

Myynd supports subscription packages, credit top-ups and usage-based purchases. The current proposition is designed to create a recurring, incremental revenue line, while additional credits and add-ons can increase subscriber spend over time.

An operator could structure the service in several ways:

  • a basic monthly AI subscription
  • larger packs for frequent users
  • prepaid AI credits
  • additional credit top-ups
  • AI access bundled into selected mobile packages

The right structure will depend on the operator and market. We have not added an invented ARPU increase or conversion figure because those results would need to come from an actual deployment.

The important point is that AI can be packaged using commercial models telcos already understand.

Direct Carrier Billing Makes AI Feel Like a Telco Service

A value-added service should be easy to buy.

If subscribers discover an operator AI service but are then asked to leave the experience, enter a credit card and create a separate billing relationship, much of the telco advantage disappears.

Myynd integrates with direct carrier billing, allowing subscribers to pay through their mobile balance.

That makes the purchase journey more familiar. Choose the service, activate it and pay through the mobile account already in use.

For prepaid subscribers in particular, mobile balance can provide a practical alternative to requiring a separate card-based subscription.

Everyday Utility Can Support Retention

The best value-added services are not useful only on the day they are activated. They give customers a reason to come back.

Myynd is positioned as a high-utility digital service designed to keep subscribers engaged with the operator’s brand.

AI has the potential to fit that role because the use cases are repeatable. A subscriber might use the service for work today, study tomorrow and research something personal later in the week.

That repeat behaviour is what makes AI more interesting than a one-off promotional feature. It can become part of the subscriber’s normal digital routine.

Operators Do Not Need to Build It All From Scratch

Launching an AI VAS internally could involve model integrations, billing, product development and relationships with multiple AI providers.

Myynd is designed as a ready-built platform so operators can move to market without managing those multiple AI vendor relationships themselves.

That reduces the gap between seeing an AI opportunity and being able to offer an actual subscriber service.

The Next VAS Opportunity Is About Utility

Past VAS eras were shaped by what subscribers wanted at the time: personalization, entertainment, music and video.

AI introduces another category: everyday digital utility.

For operators, the opportunity is to package that utility into a service they can brand, bill and monetize themselves. Myynd combines multi-model AI access, carrier billing, subscription packages and credit-based usage in one telco-ready platform.

Subscribers are already using AI. The next step is giving them a reason to access it through their operator.
